Easy At Home Beauty Tips

If there's one thing I'm always searching for it's beauty tips.

How to cover zits, lose weight, make my eyes stand out....

So here are some of my mediocre at-home beauty tips!

  • Vanilla Extract on zits

This makes them lose their whiteheads and go away faster. Dab some on before you go to bed and wash it off in the morning.

  • Vaseline on your lips

Use on it's own or with lipstick. Dip your finger in some and spread it over your lips. This makes them look plumper and glossed. You may not think so, but it's true!

  • Sleeping in to avoid hunger pangs

I'm certainly not saying starving yourself is the way to go, but if you have to lose wait quickly, sometimes you have no other option. By sleeping in until, say, ten or eleven, you miss breakfast. This brings you down to only having to eat two meals instead of the usual (and recommended!) three.

  • Water and Q-Tip mascara

If you're a young girl whose mother won't let her wear mascara, or if you simply ran out of it and haven't had time to buy more, then what you should do is take a Q-Tip and wet it under water (hot or cold, either way is fine). Then run it over your lashes as you would a mascara brush. Of course it isn't as efficient, but it temporarily helps lengthen lashes.

  • Make legs look longer by wearing short shorts

This is particularily for girls/women who do not have long legs. By wearing short shorts (and presumably miniskirts, although I've never tried this) your legs look much longer.

  • Hide dirty hair in a clip

Take one of those large clips and hide your dirty hair. Make your hair into a ponytail (although the use of an elastic is optional) and then secure it to your head with the clip. Since hair is pulled back and up, it hides the fact that it's dirty.

  • Ice down a zit

If you're unfortunate enough to have one of those nasty red zits that actually physically hurt, take an ice cube to it. (Put the ice cube in a plastic bag first so it doesn't melt all over you!) By doing this you numb and calm down the zit.

  • Rings helps fingers

If you have a creepily long finger, use a large bable ring to shorten it. If you have a short stubby finger, then a simple band will do. This will make the finger appear longer, but also draw attention away from that and towards the ring.

  • Bracelets help wrists

If you have thick wrists, then wear a bracelet. Bangles especially help. They hang off the wrist and make it look smaller and thinner.
